On August 10 at around midnight, a house in Wangdigang, around 15kms from Zhemgang towards Trongsa, a house was severely damaged by a landslide, probably triggered by the torrential rain, that night.
Relief Kits from the Disaster Unit and the Royal Semso were immediately delivered.
When Dasho Dzongdag visited the landslide area, he found just Ap Thinleyla, the owner of the house and his daughter (a nun in Bumthang) preparing to built a makeshift home. Dasho immediately commanded the MSTF in Zhemgang to help him build a home.
Therefore, six RBP personnels of PS, Zhemgang and three drivers of the Dzongkhag Administration readily went to the site and helped Ap ThinleyLa dismantle his damaged house and built a temporary house in which he and his family could accommodate for the next couple of months until his permanent structure comes up.
This is a collaborative effort of Dasho Dzongdag, the Dzongkhag Administration, the MSTF Secretariat, Public Service and Welfare Group under MSTF and the volunteers.
Thank you and we would expect similar gesture in the times ahead, as well.
