World AIDS Day in Goshing Gewog

As reflected in the approved Annual MSTF Work Plan, the World AIDS Day was celebrated in Goshing Gewog on December 1, 2013 at the football field, Goshing CPS with the theme ‘Getting to Zero’.

Presided over by the MSTF Chairperson, Dasho Dzongdag, over 100 people comprising of civil servants and village dwellers of Goshing Gewog and students of Goshing CPS took part in the celebration.

Talks on AIDS were delivered by various resource persons wherein a demonstration on how to use a condom was also carried out. 

Condoms were distributed to the participants towards the end of the session.
The MSTF sponsored lunch and refreshments for the celebration.

MSTF Variety Show (staged from 27th-28th September, 2013)

The MSTF Variety Show staged from September 27-28th, 2013 at Zhemgang Higher Secondary School Multi-purpose Hall was a grand success. 

An endeavor assumed by two groups under the Multi-sectoral Task Force, Zhemgang Dzongkhag namely Religion, Culture and Entertainment Group and Food and Nutrition Group could translate to a contribution of Nu. 27,815 (ngultrum twenty seven thousand eight hundred and fifteen only) to the Dzongkhag MSTF Account; the details of the expenditure is presented below:

1. Tickets-                                       21,580.00
2. Donations (badges)-                       4,410.00
3. Sale of edible items-                       5,210.00
Sub total-                                         31,200.00
Miscellaneous procurement-               3,385.00
Balance-                                         27,815.00

The residents of Zhemgang municipality including the civil servants, students, business communities actively took part in the event in order to make it a success.

The MSTF Secretariat takes immense pleasure in applauding the commitments of the leaders and members of the two groups and all the participants.
