Progress Review Meeting cum Health Education, a Success!

Close to 30 officials from various sectors met in the Rural Development Training Centre Conference Hall on March 5, 2014 at 09:00 am in order to review the progress of MSTF activities.
At a time when other Dzongkhags are plagued with various problems whereby even the seed money of MSTF has completely exhausted, it was amazing that the members in Zhemgang pointed out dissatisfaction in the way MSTF activities are carried out in Zhemgang which, if we carefully examine, means that we are not complacent about our achievements and we rather yearn to do more.

As suggested by the chairperson,  MSTF members resolved to dissolve the Public Service Welfare Group as the activities planned under the particular group is taken care of by other relevant sectors and inclusion of such programs under MSTF would demean their responsibilities.

Also, the Group Leaders and Members of the remaining five thematic groups were requested to revisit the Work Plan of the FY 2013-14 and make it doable, taking resource constraints into consideration.
The MSTF members were also sensitized on the Revised MSTF Operational Manual and awareness on HIV/AIDS/STIs/TB/NCDs by the Medical Officer, Dr. Sonam Kelzang. The meeting successfully concluded at 01:15 pm. Lunch and refreshment were also served to all the members.
After the meeting in the RDTC Conference Hall, a team comprising of the Medical Officer, DHO and the MSTF Secretary rushed to the Zhemgang Higher Secondary School and conducted Health Education on HIV/AIDS/NCDs among the classes XI and XII students and staffs of ZHSS totaling to around 330 participants, from 03:30pm till 04:40pm.

They were also served refreshments towards the end of the session.

The MSTF Secretariat takes immense pleasure in thanking the MSTF Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, members, Medical Officer, Principal, staffs and students of ZHSS for their valuable presence.
